Harding Elementary School

This public facing half wall mural spotlights campus life at Harding Elementary School. The right wall is outdoor and movement themed. The left one focuses on indoor focus and learning. This was meant to compliment Harding’s existing mural around the corner.

This mural is located on a major thoroughfare in El Cerrito and we wanted to make sure Fairmont’s name was front and center for passersby. Each letter includes immersive icons of student life. Community favorites include: Bart train, lost and found, languages spoken by this diverse community and the kid favorite, playground turtle.

Highlights of this welcome wall include some of Fairmont’s unique and amazing programs such as the “Read to a dog” partnership with the El Cerrito Library, the garden program, and the African American Parent Advisory Committee.
